Introduction

Kill NS is a co-educational National School under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Waterford and Lismore.

It is a 9 teacher school situated in the heart of a small rural village in East County Waterford.  The village of Kill is located between Waterford City (18km) and Dungarvan (22km) and the school serves the community of the village and surrounding areas.

There has been a National School in Kill since 1833.  The old school was situated in the present cemetery attached to the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.  The building of the present school was completed in 1935 and it has been located on this site ever since.

For the nearly two centuries that Kill NS has existed it has remained a constant while adapting to huge changes in society and education.  The school enjoys a good reputation and is an integral part of the community.

Our School

The school has 6 classrooms with 3 additional rooms being used for learning support/resource.  It also has a staff room and office.  We are lucky to have access to the local community centre and GAA pitch for additional activities such as sports and school concerts.
